Hope you all had a great bank holiday weekend and, if you're anything like me, have recovered from the excessive Prosecco drinking. The Glasgow weather sure did deliver and the topical climate (well, for Glasgow anyway) was perfect for the first annual #StyleMileFest celebrating the most stylish shopping mile in the country.
I visited the main #StyleMileFest site, (the bright pink portacabin outside Frasers) on Buchanan St on Friday and, whilst there wasn't much going on at that time, it was much busier when I returned on Saturday afternoon. House of Fraser had taken over the hub and had masterclasses from Laura Mercier, Nails Inc and Benefit. There was a street team in place to explain to curious passers-by exactly what was going on and to encourage them to attend masterclasses and have their photograph taken in the photobooth... cos' everyone loves a photobooth opportunity, right?!
I nipped up to the roof of the hub for a photo opportunity (or two) and a quick catch up with my favourite fashion PR boy, the fabulous Paul Hunter from Frasers. All that was missing was a nice glass of fizz...
Hopefully the #StyleMileFest will return next year and there will be a few more fashion events taking place as there seemed to be quite a lot of beauty masterclasses on around the city but not as many in the way of fashion.
Oh, and a little rooftop bar would sure hit the spot too... 😉
