Top Drawer Diva Launch at The Corinthian

It's no secret that I like any excuse to hang out with two of my favourite girls AND drink cocktails so when I got invited to the Scottish launch of Top Drawer Diva at The Corinthian, I simply couldn't say no.

The fact that the invitation said that the evening would involve some knicker-making certainly made it a Thursday night unlike any other.

On a gloriously sunny night, we (myself, Rachel & Yasmin) all turned up looking quite co-ordinated wearing our leather shorts. I swear we didn't deliberately match our outfits...

Cookies & Cocktails

Before any creativity could commence, we needed some refreshments in the form of cocktails and some, eh, bottom biscuits?

Knicker bingo, anyone?

We then took part in a rather fun game of knicker bingo which certainly played into the hands of our competitive nature.

This was just a warm up to the main activity though, the knicker-making!

Top Drawer Diva (love the name) was started by two lovely ladies, Vicki & Clare who have a background in lingerie manufacturing. They launched Top Drawer Diva as a business that could fit around their lives. They hold knicker-making classes and workshops all over the country and they are the perfect activity for hen parties, cos' let's face it, we've all done a cocktail masterclass a million times by now.

Pants 'n' Prosecco

Firstly, we selected our preferred style, size and colour of knickers before choosing from an array of buttons, trims, bows and accessories. Don't worry if, like me, your sewing skills leave a lot to be desired as Vicki & Clare are a whizz on the sewing machine and can bring your design idea to life in a matter of moments. They don't even try and take any of the credit for the end results!

After we ordered some Prosecco to, ya know, get the creative juices flowing, we picked some pretty pants and some lacey trims.

We decided that subtly wasn't really our thang so we thought we'd adorn our pants with a giant bow using the trim. Although my sewing skills are pretty much non-existent, luckily my bow-making skills are significantly better.

Yasmin decided that we needed a little gold button to finish it off and, with that, we headed to the sewing machine to place our pants in Clare's very capable hands.

After all the knicker-making was complete, it was up to Clare & Vicki to decide who would be the winner of the acclaimed 'Pants of the Night' award.

And the winner is...

Drum roll please.....

And yes, we were as excited as we look in this photograph!

We had such a fun night with a LOT of laughs and it would definitely be the perfect activity for a hen party. Although it's cheeky (pun intended) it's not at all smutty so it's perfect for all ages i.e. the hen nights with the mums, grans and aunts!

Thanks to Maria, (Glasgow PR Girl) for inviting us along and organising such a great event, to my prize-winning partners in crime, Rachel & Yaz and, of course, to Clare & Vicki from Top Drawer Diva for such a fun evening!
